Pencil Drawing Designs Biography
A Bachelor’s Degree in Art, from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, initiated my career in art. After 22 years as a studio potter, a strong current carried me down a new stream to an ocean of exciting color.
I've been an artist for over 35 years, with a vast supply of appealing designs to offer. My newest work,
"TranZitonZ by SuZe", are repeat pattern collections created from colorful batiks, acrylic paintings, colored pencil drawings and photography. Repeats, borders and icons to compliment products are offered. I understand the importance of reliabilty and willingness to take direction to develop exciting new products for manufacturers.
"Sue Duda Batiks" are inspired by the OCEAN, TROPICS, FRESHWATER FISH, NATURE and MUSIC! My batiks have been called cheerful, vibrant and striking. I'm often told, "WOW, I love your use of color!" Repeat patterns created from batiks offer the exciting "crackle effect" which makes the batik repeats extremely desirable!
"Ocean Dudes by Duda” are classy sea life batiks on silk, colored pencil drawings and acrylic paintings of underwater life. Tropical colors, patterns and shapes occuring on coral reefs make a perfect palette for repeat patterns as well!
Currently, my artwork results from a culmination of inspiration. As an artist and fiddler living in the wilderness of northern Wisconsin, and also vacationing in the tropics, life provides plenty of wonders to "draw" from. While primarily using the ancient art of batik, I find it irresistible to utilize the modern marvels of digital photography and graphic design!
Intricate patterns, textures and colors in nature and objects offer excellent subjects for designing unique repeat pattern coordinates. My TranZitionZ by SuZe are ideal for any industry looking for unique surface design! Many collections coordinate with each other, providing more options for the manufacturer. My art is applicable to textiles for fabric including quilting, drapery and bedding, as well as wallpaper, flooring, stationery, scrapbooking papers, gift wrap, dinnerware and more. I'm on fire with ideas and inspiration!
